Wow I can't believe how long it has been since I have updated this thread. Have been tidying up a lot of little things that weren't update worthy. Finally got to spray a little more paint and assembled the front end. In the process of prepping the box, tailgate and rear fenders for paint. Here is where it sits right now. It runs and drives on temporary wiring. Just received my wiring harness and that will start soon too. It's not perfect but good enough for me.
Hello all. I haven't been on here much lately as I lost interest in working on my truck. I was trying to get it finished as quick as I could so I could take my Dad for a drive but he passed away and I couldn't bring myself to go out to the shop. I was fortunate enough to show him the truck and the progress I had made and was able to take him for a few rides in my 53 Ford Victoria which he truly enjoyed. He was a Ford mechanic from 1952 to 1994 when he retired thus the reason I am a Ford guy. Now that everything has settled down I feel the need to finish it. Hopefully I can make some progress. Just working on the rear fenders, lots of rust and dents. This is how it sits now. Cheers.
I just discovered this build thread. You have a really nice project on the go.
Sorry to hear of your dad's passing, sometimes you need to take a break and reevaluate things.
You are going to have a great driver when done. Keep at it, as long as it is enjoyable.
hello, i have read your report completely. first of all, my condolences on the loss of your father. It's a nice project. your father would want the ford to be on the road. My grandfather and my father were both mechanics on cars and motorcycles. both of them have already passed away, but she always admired the projects i did. Get the Ford ready. your father is watching.
