Points are directly related to the $ price. So if the Works costs $110 that would be 22000 points.
$÷.005=points.
That's worse than I thought it'd be. 77,000 points sounds way better than $385. Still, not complaining. Could be a cool accessory or something. Thanks for the info.
How did you actually use the points? Go to the Parts Dept desk and manually do it that way?
I inquired before I took the truck in for an oil change. They said they accepted the points. Service advisor came out and asked me the email address associated with FordPass and that was pretty much it.

They say its supposed to cover the first 3 scheduled maintenance visits, I guess that's where the dollar amount comes from. That math gives you a good idea of how many points will be spent but there is a little more to it. Using that same example of $110 Works, it costs you 22k points, you will see that transaction, but you will also see points added back to your account for the service value. That is at a rate of 10 points for every $1 spent. Even though actual dollars weren't spent you would still get back 1100 points. So you could look at the total points cost for that $110 Works service being 20,900.
Yesterday I used my points (244,008) towards the purchase of a new truck. I received a credit of $1,220.04 from Ford. The dealer had never had anyone ask to use the points towards a new vehicle purchase so it took 10 minutes to get it figured out!
I'm taking my new F450 in tomorrow for it's first servicing and a full winterization. The winterization costs almost $600 (a trickle charger for each battery, pad heaters on trans and engine oil pans, hook up the block heater, etc). I'm going to ask them to use my 77,000+ points for it.
I have been using the Ford Pass points for the recent oil changes. Each time was with the standard 10W30 (22,000 points), but the last change I asked for 5W40 and it was exactly 40,000 points.
I finally had the points for my original truck purchase in April credited to my FordPass account after calling them for the third time last week - it only took 5 months!
