This has probably been posted before but here I go. I have an F350 dually, 2017. Looking to trade in and go to an F450. Local dealer doesn't do big trucks much but there were hardly any new vehicles on the
lot this past weekend, let alone trucks. I switched from Chevy to Ford back in 2008 when I couldn't find a Chevy diesel and the Chevy dealer said to me "I guess you'll take that truck because it's the only diesel we have". That's when I drive over to the Ford dealer.
I checked out ricart Ford in Columbus. They usually have 15-20 F450's. They have 3. I may be forced to switch back to Chevy. Are they building trucks again? I assume it's all because of covid so maybe all dealers are in the same boat.
Been looking for the same - seems GA has the highest concentration of F450's' out there when you search by Zip code. FL also does but in some or most cases you loose the Rapid heat and block heater (for me a must) and you deal with huge dealer fees unless using A/D or X plan.
Same here in Colorado. I was looking a couple of weeks ago and no dealers had any, not many Super Duty models period. I placed an order for a 2020 F450 through one dealer since I have a $2K PCO that expires 9/30.
I just checked here, in central Ky. Right where they are built. Only 1 within a 100 mile radius.
my son works at the Truck plant & they are running wide open, even have weekends planned.
All 3 were shut down due to Covid, and all 3 opened back up around the same time. Inventories suck and they are likely throttling back due to the economy and workers out. FWIW - last July when I was looking... Ricard had 50 F450's on the lot. They had what I was looking for, but couldn't come to an agreement and ordered mine instead.
Back in 2008 when I switched from Chevy to Ford, the Chevy and GMC dealers all parked their new vehicles to give the appearance of multiple vehicles. 10 feet apart, staggered, etc. That's what the local dealer looked like this past weekend

Check with Fairway Ford in Canfield, OH - that's where I bought mine last August. They usually stock a lot of them - as for Geno!!! (And I drove all the way out from MA to get mine)
Going to be a long wait until inventory comes back. Keep checking on a dealer ordered F450 they put in back the end of May. Truck still hasn't been scheduled for production. It is a bit of a one off though, regular cab XLT. Talked to them briefly and they haven't determined pricing for it yet, which tells me that they're waiting until they get it and see what the market looks like. If they're willing to deal we might pull the trigger but I think it more likely at this point we'll wait for the 21's and give this whole mess a little more time to shake out.
I've only seen one or two dealer stocked f-450s here in Montana. The last one that was semi-local only lasted for 2 weeks before it was gone. I don't understand why the dealers don't stock more of them here with as many big RVs and stock trailers as there are running around, but they are unicorns for some reason.
When I bought my 450 in April, my dealer had over 20 of them. I looked yesterday, and they have one XL. This is a huge Ford dealer who sells a crap load of trucks. Between the shutdown, and now they’re probably getting ready to change over to the 21’s, there won’t be more coming for a while.

Post a pic when you get that bad boy. A standard cab F450 XLT sounds bad ***.
