Tailgate malfunction unexpectedly opening
2019 F350 Platinum
I'm new to this forum, so I may not be searching correctly. I couldn't find a thread on the issue with the tailgate malfunctioning and opening on its own. Ford has a recall on this. I took mine in and had the recall done and it happened again causing damage to my truck and trailer being towed. I'm working with Ford to get repairs done (although I haven't heard anything definitively on resolving the damage yet).
I'm just curious if anyone else has had an issue and found definitive resolution. They claimed they fixed it this time finding moisture in some connections. I still have concerns since it happened after the recall. I would really like to know that there is a fix that resolves this issue. Anyone with experience or info would be helpful.
