I do not trust any of them and make a determination of which one to use based on the difficulty of replacement
I do use the cheap ones on occasion.
Your motorhome where the tank drop is a hassle, I would use a Ford pump (module assembly) (with the sender and wires)
Good luck

knowing it is going to sit for 10 years... its not the fuels fault! it never has been! also JFC how horrifying! how bad was the tank?

Welcome to the fixing club... I just went through this whole ordeal with my 1990 Motorhome, based on an e-350 Ford 460. Why would they use 2 fuel pumps (one under the driver and one in the fuel tank)??? Ugg. I am in Canada and finally found a solution by dropping fuel tank and replacing that pump with a
  • Spectra Premium Fuel Delivery System SP2013H (worked for me)

  • also sourced out the following potentials:
  • Parkland Ag 95L/hr (25g/hr) 45psi B0001E for $142 CDN and Allied Distributors in-tank A0040H $145CDN 40g/hr UNSPSC 40151532
But I did notice they only used parts of the Spectral for the final solution, had to get mechanical help to finally make this work.

If you want a laugh, prior to this I tried:
  • wrapping the fuel line in foam (to protect from heat)
  • removing cat converter and doing exhaust work (thinking it was generating too much heat)
  • changing out the entire cooling system/rad etc (because the problem really only seemed to happen on hot days under load)
  • etc... all those things did was make the time to wait for it to restart and be able to drive quicker, from 5 hours to 20 minutes, but it really wasn't properly fixed until that pump was done.

well I don't know something must have happened to airtex. there is no phone number for them available. and the 2060 or 2070 airtex pump is no longer available.
i dont even know how to go about getting a motorcraft pump. the low odds of finding one discourage me from attempting it
the 1988 e-350 cutaway motorhome 460, 36 gallon tank i have. i am looking at a GMB fuel pump and sender. the ad sais it is "for 1988-1991 ford e350 econoline cutaway van, with 36 or 40 gallon tank"
anybody familiar with GMB?.
