What is this for a Problem :
The fuel pump does not work, there is no fuel at the fuel filter, the pump has a voltage about 12 V but does not work.
How much fuel should i have in my rear tank to get the fuel lines fill up ?
And has the pump an internal switch ?
And something else, i can hear a "click" from a relay, is this the fuel pump relay ?
hm, i´m not sure if the pump has the 12 V, because i can´t take the connector off from the rear pump, i can only test the voltage of the front pump, from the front tank. But this one does not work, too :-(
Has the pumpes a "minimum switch" ? that will shut off, if there is no fluid to pump ?
I don´t hear anything... i know how the ford pumpes normaly sounds, but at this one they don´t !
What motor do you have? 1989 & older have an in-tank low pressure pump and a high pressure pump under the driver's seat inside the frame. 1990 & newer have the in-tank high pressure pump.
It could be the relay, the pump, or the computer. There's also a fusible link near the battery. Ask me how I know where it is.
Jeepeah
the fuel pumps are running, i find the error, have you know that there is a "theft" indicator light on your panel ?! There is one, and this one lights up if i connect a fuel pump
BUT I have not stolen this vehicle !
Does anybody know from which signal/switch this information come ?
I replaced the instrument cluster, could be this the problem ?
