DANA 60 problems

DANA 60 problems
Has anyone had problems with the spider gears and tearing them out this is a full floater with 4.56 gears. Is this normal
and happen alot simply because of wear truck has approx. 140.000 miles
any advice on aftermarket components that would be the strongest i.e DETROIT LOCKER

I just got her back together instead of all the fancy **** that is out there i.e I decided to go to the wreckers I found a 71 f250 2wd It obviously has the dana 60 I just took the carrier it cost me $37.44 cdn.
After getting everything clean I just removed the spider gears or side gears from the good one and threw them in my carrier.
In all the GEAR CENTER told me it would cost around $1000.00 for parts and labour and book time said it would take around 7 hours.
I did it in under 5 hours with going to the wreckers and it only cost $37.44 cdn that is a saving of $963.56
