New to this site but excited to ask questions and learn. Just found a barn find 56 original and excited to get it running. I think I’m second owner which is unbelievable. The 85yr old man also gave me the pictures of the truck back when it was new and tons of documented notes as to all that has been done. I’m super thrilled and thank my wife for finding this Jewel in the middle of no where.

Congratulations, Logan! You've just found the holy grail of holy grails. A 56 F100, custom cab, big back window, one owner barn find, in solid, original condition. Wow. Who knew any of those were left in existence. You've done very well, my friend. We all will look forward to your progress of getting it back on the road.

First of all, I just want to say that I love the truck!
I do find the truck a little odd though, it looks to be original and it’s a custom cab but it doesn’t have the driver side door lock.
also I see no holes in the doors on the inside for cardboard door panels. Custom cabs with door panels do not have the metal door inspection covers that this has.
56 never came with a pass side arm rest regardless if it was a standard or custom cab.
Big window with a white top and it came with clear glass? Very odd

And a stainless/chrome bumper...
so maybe the original owner made some changes and additions.
But nevertheless a very nice truck.
