I thought that King was a replacement for the stock steering stabilizer in the stock location...
Yes it is but the PMF kit has a king upgrade option and it appears they are using that shock on their kit, just curious if they would work with the kelderman kit as well
Probably not. The Kelderman bracket needs a stabilizer that's 28.95" extended and 17.85" collapsed (11.1" stroke). They use a Fox 985-24-068. This info comes directly from Kelderman.
I just put on my Kelderman kit with Fox shocks and man what a difference over the Ford stabilizer. I also left the Ford one on, figured it wont hurt having it on for whatever life it has left.
History, I installed a Carli Commuter Leveling kit and 37" Nitto Ridge Grapplers 2 weeks ago. The difference in ride was significantly better over stock ride. Adding the stabilizer just smoothed out the steering much more.
The ride right now is so much more comfortable over stock. I never complained about the stock ride, didn't think it was bad for a truck. Now I feel like I am riding in a comfy sedan!
