Steering stabilizer?

Does anyone have a picture of there steering stabilizer? OEM and aftermarket..? My truck has the slop in the wheel like many others i know of and i dont think its all related to this but one of my buddys pointed out that i have no steering stabilizer and there was a bracket on the passanger side that has never had anything bolted in it but never thought much about it? Im trying to make sure that is actually what is missing?

Your truck may not have come with the stabilizer....mine didn't. It has the bracket but no stabilizer. My steering is true and straight....something else may be causing your problem. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

I dont have a picture available right at the moment. But mine has one on it, and still has play in the wheel. Mine is caused by the top piece of the bar (always forget the name) that bolts to the pitman arm. Just something else to check to if the stabilizer doesnt work.

Same for me....bracket on the right side but not in the middle.

Check for loose castle nuts where the tie rod ends connect to the steering knuckles.

Those rails are pretty solid. My F450 has the cooler mounted in that same spot.

Funny you ask, as I just took that photo this weekend when I was removing that cooler and replacing it with a 6.0 one. It was plenty of cooler for my stock tranny, but the BTS runs a little hotter, and I felt like I needed more cooling. No problem with the cooler mounted there, though. It was there for seven years with no problems.
