5 Star Y Pipe Install
I'm working on my exhaust front to back basically. It has some leaks and I'm over it. First up are the manifolds / bolts. Mine are in pretty good shape but I haven't taken a great look at them. Either way, I hear some pretty aggressive leaks from front below area of the truck.
After the gaskets / hardware, I'm going to turn my attention to the Y-pipe. I was thinking the 5 star, but it looks like it needs to be welded in. How do they bolt to the end of the manifold?
Lastly I'm going to put a new cat-back. Likely it will just be the flowmaster aluminized.
I'm really just wanting to put this back to good condition, not go all-in with the best of the best. Likely I'm only going to have this truck another few years then move on.
I also need to fix a rust spot on the bottom of one of my doors so I need to be budget conscious on the exhaust.
If possible I'm going to try and get a Y-pipe, cat-back and 5 star 87 octane performance tune all at once but the installation of the y-pipe is what I'm questioning.
Thanks,
Chris
