2019 XLT 6.2 with about 3K miles. At low speed, especially noticeable when I'm braking as I go down my steep driveway, the brakes groan. Can also be felt when I'm in the seat. Is this normal? I would have thought that by now the pads and rotors would have gotten used to each other.

Sounds abnormal to me. My guess is the pads are glazed. Take it to the dealer.
If you are almost stopped as i am guessing then yes it is normal. These are trucks with alot of surface area for the brakes and they will chatter or make groaning noise when almost stopped. Cj
Normal. It's the pad chattering against the rotor. Same thing for brake squeal. You can alter the sound -higher or lower pitch- or eliminate it by brake pedal pressure. If the pads or rotors were glazed, your brake performance would be very poor.
Thanks for the feedback. My '99 Powerstroke never did this, but I guess this is the "new and improved" system. As long as it doesn't mean that my brakes don't work as well as they should I can live with it.
If you can feel it in the steering wheel, my bet is the rotors are warped. They’ll need to be resurfaced or replaced. I had a ‘17 F350 before my ‘20 F450 and haven’t felt anything in the brakes on either. The 450 has an occasional squeal in one of the front brakes I’m keeping an eye on, but it’s the sound only, no vibration.
