Transfer Case compatibility?

I am looking to upgrade my 2000 2wd to 4wd using axles out of a 05 F-250. My current concern is whether or not the transfer case out of the 05 (manual transfer) is compatible with my transmission? I know a 4wd output will need to be added to my transmission. Your knowledge on this is greatly appreciated.

I suppose it depends on which transmissions you have (because I'm not sure what the output of a 4R looks like). To my knowledge, the NP271 was used 1999-2016 and so were the NP273's, which would make them the same round 6 bolt pattern. Another thing you may have to change is the input shaft to the transfer case as I'm not sure of the spline count difference between the 4R and 5R.
