Cab/bed alignment

My cab/bed is out of alignment by 1/2 to 5/8”. I know the bed is pinned with locating pins...I managed to only get 1/8” out of the bed. Does the cab have the same locating pins or if I loosen the cab mounts can I conceivably shift the cab over? Thanks.

Pins
It's usually the bed that is too far to the drivers side. The pins that hold the bed are only plastic. Just knock them out for more adjustment.

Found this thread because I was wondering if this issue persists. Sad to find it does.

I had a cab-to-bed misalignment on my 2017. The sides of the cab and bed were flush on one side and out of alignment by 3/4" on the other. I found Ford allows 12 months of "adjustments" on new trucks and I let my dealer's body shop fix it. The bed was already shoved to one side as far as it would go, so they moved the cab sideways 3/8" inch to get it centered with the bed.

Do not loosen the cab bolts with an impact, you take a chance on spinning the mounts out. Use a breaker bar and an extension.

Bed-to-cab alignment was an issue on some 2017 trucks like mine. Has anyone encountered this with 2020+ models? Asking because my 2022 is on its way here.

EXACTLY! As soon as you start hammering on those bolts, you're risking a big problem!

It's an issue on my 22.Noticed over the weekend the bed is every bit of 1/2" to the drivers side.

Can you give more info on this "12 month body adjustment"
Thanks.

It is nothing more than what my dealer's body shop told me ... I've not seen anything in writing. BTW, my 2022 did not require adjustment.

I would assume that something like this would be covered under warranty, but admittedly I haven't read it. I'm hoping to received my '22 F250 in the next 2 weeks and hope not to find anything like this, but I'll definitely keep it in mind. Thanks for the heads up!

I have never found it explicitly written anywhere, but 12 months/12k miles seems reasonable for body alignment issues.

I’ve noticed my driver side rear tire is a little farther inside the bed wheel well than the passenger side, but not noticed the cab / bed out of alignment. After seeing this thread, I’m gonna look a little closer at that. ‘22 truck btw
