Someone needs to give him a sales pitch. I mean, what's another $300 at this point in the game?
Mine will be five years old in November with probably 80,000 miles on it.
I have the HPOP through part of a deal. If I had the additional $1300 I could certainly go the Dieselsite route but as it stands now, I will have to settle for a warranty replacement for the new HPOP and hope for the best.
Quick Update Regarding the Tamer X Crossover Fuel Line Kit and the DFuser ICP Relocation Kit:
This is the set up I finally settled on. I used fiberglass wrap and sewed it up a protective wrap as I am a bit concerned with the heat. I also sewed up a fiber glass wrap I plan on using to secure the ICP to the main wire harness.
Wow... this project has been a bear to say the least. Thank you all for your help and advice.
At this point, my truck is finally running and about 500 miles into the break in.
Since the last update, I had a quick flash of oil pressure when attempting to prime and then that all went away for good. After trying all I could, I had the tow truck come and bring it to the shop.
$4,000 later, they found that the BRAND NEW front cover from Ford had a casting sand blockage preventing oil from going to the low pressure oil pump. Ford is offering to pay their $150 toward the labor for their failure, the engine builder has yet to offer anything. Lesson learned.
I got the truck from the shop, it sounded a bit loud under the hood but it ran and would die from time to time. It seemed like air may be working itself out of the system... but eventually it died and wouldn't start up. It was time to feed my trucks old Tow Truck Addiction and send it back to the shop.
Now, I changed all but the ICP and the IPR on the struck and rerouted the ICP sensor (It's an early '03). Well, it turns out that the IPR and ICP failed. The mechanic also swamped out the hose I used for the reroute of the ICP and $2,000 later, my truck was running! But that noise...
While I was getting the truck the shop owner asked me if I knew I had a Y-Pipe leak? Nope, I didn't but that was the source of the leak. I was less than pleased that I had another 6.0 project to do after enduring the opinions of my wife on 6.0 ownership and shelling out $6,000. (BTW, anyone want a GREAT flight simulator? I'm selling it to pay for repairs.)
Anyway, I wish I would have taken photos and videos of the process, but I have to say that if I was to do it again, I could probably save a lot of time, but it took me a weekend in the cold to get it to line up and seal.
At this point though, the truck is running well. I am having a steering issue and suspect I need a new steering box. I'm going to make an adjustment tonight.
Dang! Glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy driving it! I ended up replacing my steering gear with a Blue Top, new Motorcraft hydroboost and hubs/ ball joints after doing my full rebuild. She drives like a sports car now.

Go with the Blue Top. I just put in a Motorcraft and still have lots of play.
