Im not sure what vendors are on this site, but as for ours on the others its the usual guys pretty much have the same kits. Its pretty easy to install just time consuming. I would say set a side a day, just to give yourself time to do everything. I believe everything you need tool wise is 12mm and smaller deep sockets 1/4 inch racket, large screw driver flat head, extensions, bucket, gallon of coolant depending how much you loose in the process.

I just finished my EGR cooler delete, oil cooler replacement and PCV reroute. No special tools needed. If your oil temp is much higher than your coolant temp now would be the time to change the oil cooler. Mine was usually running 20 to 25 degrees hotter and now they're within 3 degrees, even driving 75mph, when the oil temp could be 30 degrees higher. By the way, I've had a coolant filter installed since early on, I think within the first 15,000 miles and the oil cooler was still not working efficiently. Supplies- I used new intake gaskets but I think you could reuse the old ones. Make sure to get new O rings for the turbo drain and feed. I drained the radiator and got about 3 gallons out so buy 2 gallons of new gold coolant and 2 gallons of distilled water if you want to replace with new. If you don't already have the updated turbo oil drain tube you might want to buy that. Tips-To remove the turbo there are 3 bolts, 2 in front and 1 in the rear. The rear one is hard to get to and I would soak it with PB Blaster overnight before trying to remove. If it strips you'll have to lift the cab off(so I've read anyway). To remove the short exhaust pipe that feeds the EGR cooler it's easier to remove the passenger wheel well liner. To get at the top bolts on that exhaust pipe I removed the small heat shield that's riveted on behind the now removed turbo and reattached the shield afterwards. While you have good access to the wiring harness it's a good time to inspect it and retape or wrap it with plastic wire loom. To remove the alternator just remove the 3 bolts holding it down and it tilts forward(make sure you disconnect both batteries first). Make sure you mark where the bolts and studs came out of the intake, I used a black sharpie and put a mark right next to the holes. When you take a sensor plug off wrap it with tape to protect and mark where it goes, it seems like it should be easy to remember but there are quite a few of them. I used white medical tape. The whole job took me about 20 hours but much of that was the oil cooler. If I remember anything else I'll be back.

Took me a minute to find this thread

https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...gr-delete.html

I haven't done this yet...but it's near the top of my list of things to do very soon. From talking to a couple of guys (via PM) it isn't a bad idea.
