I put in a new 3g alternator and it has worked great except for it is being powered by battery when the truck is off. So it leaks down the battery and also keeps the alternator charged some so that when I start it can hurt the belt
so I put in a battery cutoff and it works but that sucks
I believe the problem is in the green/blk wire in the picture. I think I have that to full power instead of some ignition power.
found an ignition power but it mentions putting in a resister? Anyone here who has done this use a resister? Or can I just wire ignition power to it?
