Engine Problem
So hopefully I’m not over thinking this. About a year ago I picked up a 94 F150 with the 5.0. It belonged to a family member that moved from Texas to South Carolina. I drove the truck pulling a fully loaded, probably overloaded, uhaul. Got it home parked it. I was fixing all kinds of little things. The engine was high idling. I got it fixed and started driving it. I don’t go fast I don’t care about speeding around anymore. But it seems like it’s lacking a bit in power. Anyway I was looking under the hood and to my shock I notice a spark plug without a wire. It runs a bit ruff but not horrible it’s an old truck. The plug wire was laying on the exhaust manifold and melted. I’m going to replace all the plugs and plug wires. This truck has possibly been driven thousands of miles on 7 cylinders. However I’m gonna see if I can find a wire to replace just that one to see what happens. Anything special I should do before hooking this up? Should I scope the cylinder, I’m concerned something may be damaged and when I get it firing again it’s gonna show up. My only option may be to just hook it up and hold my breath. What should I do?

Did it today, ran ruff for a couple min now it’s riding smooth!!
