My 2001 Ford F250 ESOF isn't getting power from the switch to the shift motor. Installed new shift motor but still no power. Was time to replace the relays, so put all new ones in, still no power. Checked the fuses and they are okay. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions on what to check?
Mine are manual on my truck even though they have the ESOF seals in the hubs...have you checked the seals...I seem to remember someone saying if those leak it won't engage...

Well, have you checked the switch? Is there power on both sides of it?

Hi, yep, checked the switch too. I have power to it but not beyond it. I got the truck in on a trade so I don't know much about it's history. The last owner said the tranny an trans case had been rebuilt. The hubs have also been converted over to manual. This one has got me stumped.
Hi, mine have been converted over to manual too. I got the truck in on a trade and really don't know much about it's history. Previous owner said that the tranny and trans case had been rebuilt, but other than that, he didn't know much either, so he says.

Well, if I understand you correctly, power TO the switch, but not BEYOND the switch tells me the switch is bad.
I never suspected the switch because I just bought it new. How do you check the switch itself?
OK, I guess I would use a VOM and check voltages at all terminals on the switch, In all positions, unless someone else has a better idea.
Also, is it a Genuine Ford/Mororcraft switch, or a cheep china product from a parts store?
I got it at the auto parts store. Probably is complete junk. I'll have to get a motorcraft switch and check it again. I'll be back on here for more help if that doesn't do the trick Thanks guys for all your help.
