GEM

Is it possible to bypass the GEM module and power the 2w/4w selector switch from a different source on a 2001 f-250 super crew so it will switch from 2w to 4w ?

The gem controls other parts also on the truck so I would say no......

First question is why?

Yes. You could unplug the shift motor and power it using your own switch.

However truck would not like it to much as the 4wd lights would flash

OK update have power to everything except dome light,and power windows, shift motor has power but not shiffting replaced the motor but still doesnt work checked old motor and it works but still not shifting. this happen once before and then it started working again this time it also has something to do with windows they have always worked before. any suggestions?

Water in GEM

No expert , had all sorts of weird stuff happening in me 03 SD , was a leaking windscreen letting water drip on GEM . Fixed leak all probs went away after a week of drying , has been all good since
