I asked you yesterday I think, but I dont think you gave an answer. Being realistic with regards to the vehicles current condition, what is KBB trade value?

Oh well, I'll keep looking cuz while they are closed tomorrow OTHER dealers are open

Yes I know how to look up the value of my trade
Lin,

What are you trading in? Year, make, model, trim, mileage etc. I’ll look up what they are selling for on auction for you.

Right now auction prices are very low and KBB and NADA online quotes are high. A dealer is only going to give you what he can sell it on auction unless it’s a hot vehicle they can out on their lot. If they put it in their lot they will want to make at least $3k.

And their shop may book $2,000 reconditioning it as well.

Great condition, really it is, I tell it like it is. If it was crap I would say so 2017 Chevy Bolt Premier. 33400 mi
It sells like Hot cakes here. Used ones on Carmax and places can't keep them in stock, really.

Update: this guy is a total scum. I went down there again and he tells me that I can't take the truck unless THEY register it (for a tune of over $70 extra.
F that, I left. Now I need to find another by Monday so I can use the PCO.
Can't tell you how pissed off I am. Now have a Raging headache so I can't even have a Beer

I obviously have no idea of how things work there, or what your state and local fees are, but here you have to pay all state and local fees and taxes at time of purchase on a dealership transaction. In my case almost $7k. The dealer facilitates that and not $1 of that goes to the dealer.
Are you saying they charge a $70 dealer fee, on top of other Doc fees to submit the registration info for you?

How much under invoice are they offering the truck to you for, and how much in dealer fees do they want? So far the amounts you're talking about are very small if the the truck is priced well. Aside from the trade in issue, it sounds like you are just trying to get them to concede a couple hundred bucks. In the scheme of the things thats small, especially considering you are sitting on a $3k PCO.

You got low balled on the trade. Auction value on a 17 Bolt/ Premier w/33.4k miles is $17.500-$20,800 in Northeast.

Have you checked with car max what they would pay for your Bolt?

EV prices are tough to estimate due to manufacture incentives, different tax credits, power company credits, state or local government credit/rebates on new EVs.

The Bolt is a great commuter car. Low maintenance, low cost/mile variable expense etc. You will miss it.

You walked away due to a $70 extra registration fee? That’s less than a tank of diesel fuel on Superduty truck.

I'm not, really he was just acting all squirrely and was fine with me registering it myself, then all of a sudden it HAD to be done there. an hour of this nonsense.
Can't take the truck with $3000 PCO in case I don't Register the truck then they are out $3000 ummm what??? It's a coupon, I paid, took truck end of story, Or it should have been. We don't have to have them register it before taking the truck. And he can't Register it as AG or Farm if I wanted to. $5 for title fee, $70 more for Reg on top of the fake $55 for a $30 reg fee. Fees were going up with no explanation when I asked and pointed mistakes out.
It all was just not adding up if you know what I mean. Ya know when you just get that feeling like you just NEED to leave ?
I'll just order one elsewhere. Just a waste of 3 days.

BTW, I will keep the Bolt, if I could get a good price I would have traded and just bought a new one later when the next generation came around

You don’t have to be a woman to hate dealers. They lie. It’s pretty much all they do. Most are pretty stupid on top of that, so the lies can be ridiculous.

Do whatever necessary to get an ID number for an X plan deal. The guys here have explained it well. X p.an takes out all of the BS. I had some stacked rebates and the dealership was wasting my time so I walked. After a week I called the saleslady and asked her if she would like another opportunity to sell me a truck. She was great to work with using the X plan and found a truck for me at another dealer. Once they realize that you will walk and are not the average stooge they will get realistic. One of the best parts of X plan is the cap on the doc fee. It is like Ford telling them not to cheat people.
If I was closer to you I would gladly help out, except I am not a beer type of guy.
Best wishes.

What exactly are you looking for? F250 F350, trim level, options etc. if you post them with your zip code I’ll Search dealer inventory and X-plan price for those I found.

For example Safar Ford has 3 F250 Lariats.

heres sticker for one example MSRP is $68,370 and X-plan price is $64,046

Sticker https://www.windowsticker.forddirect...QqUGKp7Jw14%3D

Your $3,000 PCO will be applied after all taxes and fees so it’s essentially treated like an extra down payment.

You mentioned electric car and keep in mind if you get a diesel it needs to be ran on the highway some because of the emissions systems.

That looks like a good optioned truck. With Xplan and PCO and decent trade in I dont see a problem.
