New from Arizona Glendale

Good Moring,

wanted to introduce my self , I live in Phoenix arizona, grew up in Southern California. Ive been a long time member of Pro-Touring.com for 20 years or so, another site Ratsun, and a Corvair site. Needless to say I like vehicles of all types. I have raced, built, designed and generally just enjoyed many aspects of cars and trucks. I came to this site because of the my research into my next project. Many discussions and comments that helped me decide to make a purchase on a project I had thought of purchasing. I am not a brand guy, there are pros and cons to all brands, but I do enjoy stirring the pot and causing heated discussions. At the end of the day, its a addiction of sorts that keeps most of of us sane and mostly happy.

So, I purchased a 1951 Ford F100. The guy was asking 5k and after 6 months lowered the price to 4k. I decided to take a look. The gentleman had been through divorce and had 2 other trucks as well that needed to be sold....( I know this pain)...He had installed Mustang 2 front end, under cab master cylinder, Ididit tilt steering column, a nice choice of a late model low back split seat, a crate with all new glass. From what I can tell these with items alone, plus a complete short bed truck for 4k is a pretty fair price. But there is more, he works for the city and came across a 2003 CV PI with 30k on it, pulled the drive train and harness and has it mounted in the truck currently. I really didn't

consider this as an option while looking at the truck, I figured it was a rebuild at best and would sell the drivetrain and move on to something more familiar. Once he told me the car had 30k on I began to research a bit more, and thats is how or why I became a member of this site.
