I asked this question over in the 1999-2017 section, but with all the front end conversions done over here to our Excursions, I figure I'd ask here.
Scrapyard local to me had an old power company truck in it with a grill guard on it.
Grille guard goes for $30.
Grill guard has a Hydraulic powered winch attached to it.
I'd be a moron to not grab it.
Scrapyard truck is a 2008-2010.
My truck is a 2003.
First glimpse is that I'm gonna need to do some welding.
Anyone know if the grill guard will fit?
My 2003 Excursion has a 2005-2007 XL work truck front end (glass sealed-beam headlights) on it.
I'm nervous about welding something that needs to support the weight of a winch that can lift the entire truck.
