Question Billet Grills

I am also interested in getting an billet grill for my '03 Ranger. Now my question is, for most of them, do you need to cut out the existing stock grill to install/insert the billet. How does it work? I'm trying to decide if I want the Ford emblem to show or not. Thanks

Billet Grills

I have been looking into getting a billet grill for my truck. Everything I have read about them is that they just snap into place, and you do not have to cut out the old grill.

They make both kinds. some you can just snap into place other you have to either cut the existing grill out and replace it or pick up an extra front piece and cut it. Most of them will just bolt into the grill. Just make sure before you order. I always ask first. Keeps me from being disapointed later.

I installed mine about two weeks ago, the one that you cut out existing black part leaving chrome exposed...wow, what fun.

I used a "Robo Zip" that I've had for a few years, up in tell this point I had only used it for carving pumpkins.

The cutting was done with out removing grill, the whole job took around 4 or 5Hrs. yes I took my time.
