Scrapyard local to me had an old power company truck in it with a grill guard on it.
Grille guard goes for $30.
Grill guard has a Hydraulic powered winch attached to it.
I'd be a moron to not grab it.
Scrapyard truck is a 2008-2010.
My truck is a 2003.
First glimpse is that I'm gonna need to do some welding.
Is it going to bolt right on, I'd say no. For the price... It will eventually fit. Even if you have to pay someone else to fab it up you'd still be ahead of the game. Jump on it now and figure out the technicalities later.
I got the winch and grill guard separated at home.
I'm just wondering if I try and use the grill guard as it is or do I get the proper grill guard for my truck.
I'm worried that any fabri-cobbling that I do at home will not be strong enough. It's gotta support the weight of the truck.

If the grill guard is nice and you doubt your capabilities, talk to a fab shop/welder. See what they would charge you to make it fit your truck. Can’t hurt to ask.
