Ok. I didnt see a heading in the tech folder, buy im wondering if theres a way to put in a throttle lock in? In semis i have driven, there is a throttle up/lock capability, which i have found myself wishing for in my e99 more than a couple times. Any links or info greatly appreciated. Tia
There is an easy DIY with a potentiometer with switch (all-in-one unit) that I can't seem to find right now. The potentiometer fools the PCM into thinking it is getting a pedal signal. The switch is to fool the PCM into thinking the IVS (Idle Validation Switch) isn't triggered. I built one and used it successfully for years. Then I discovered my tuner has a high-idle tune so I removed it. You can have my old one for free if you pay shipping.
Not for automatic transmission, but I found a loose wire right next to the OBDII port on the V-10 I bought while correcting a hack to the OBDII wires. My 2001 7.3 has the same wire. The service manual section 22-21 for the 6.8 fuel shows the wire circuit #322 LB/YE to be for PTO unit.
I found the following link too.
Great link.... except at the very very bottom it says it doesnt work on manuals..... im still gonna look under the dash though, just in case the wires are there
