I am in the process of rebuilding the 303 ( RAT DL AH2) {D7 TR GA 1808}
California built Truck, (transmission has a "hecho in mexico" stamp on top cover
anyways I went to remove the set screw for the Reverse/ First shift fork, and noticed the set screw was ground down flush with the fork and past the allen opening.
What I have done,is I've used a screw extractor to move forward in the disassembly process.
My question to this, would anyone know or have a couple of extra set screws, or know who/where to get a few,
The transmission is the original to my 1977 F-100, In the mean time I have slipped in my spare 303 until I do the rebuild.
Thank you in advance
Is it not a standard set screw? If so, you might try to find one at a local HW store. If not, you night try on of the Toploader rebuilders, such as David Kee.

they have a tapered end that goes thru the fork into the slider.
I was able to locate a pair from Green Sales on Ohio,for way cheaper then David Kee, ( half the price and definitely cheaper on shipping)
Ordered them this morning along with a few new snap rings,
Sounds good, and I'll have to check with Green Sales in the future.
There are a few members,who have access to a data base of dealers who still have NOS
Seeing how your a socal brother you should know NumberDummy,
I asked mikeo0o0o0 if he knew and he found them at more then one dealer,
I've purchased from Greensales in the past and they only have 7 of the set screws, (technically 5 now )
Plus I needed the snap ring for the output shaft bearing, which they are now 2 less in inventory
Same size as the speedometer gear
