bed to frame question

going to set the bed back on the frame 79 f150 - the rubber pads that fit where the frame bolts go through the frame arent big enough for the bolts.to go through. is there a trick to putting these back in place ?
its not much thicker than inner tube material and i assume its there to keep things from metal to metal contact. 8 bolts and 8 rubbers pads. do i set the rubbers in pace and drive the bolts in
or what is the solution.
thanks

Somebody added them. From the factory, the bed sits directly on the frame.
If you want to use the rubber pads, you could always enlarge the hole.

Ignore the rubber pads, not needed.

If this was a resto build for a car show, metal to metal rubbing is no good.....that's what I've always seen those rubber spacers used for.
