Mounting the bed to the frame?

I'm about ready to set the bed on the frame and looking for the pads which are to go between the bed and frame. My question is the pads come in a set of eight but I only have four bolts to attach the bed, why are there 8 pads, what am I missing? Are they to be doubled up or are there supposed to be eight attach points? Thanks

8 pads = 2 each at the rear sill, 2 each at 2 middle cross braces, and 2 at front cross brace.

my set came with 8 pads. 4 thin and 4 thicker which go in the center.
