Lol. Let's recap this
-All the wires have power (checked with multimeter)
-I set a new ground wire directly on the frame with a bolt
-I tried the original connector and bulb and showed the same issues
-Hazard lights work
-Headlights and corner lights work in the front, blinkers do not.
-Blinker dash indicators also do not work
-when everything is wired in the back, ONLY the running lights work.
-Checked all the fuses they were all good (test light used)
-Replaced the flash relay fuse
Anything else?
I mean unplug the Dir Flasher from the fuse box and exchange it with the Hazard flasher ... there are 2 separate flashers you know the Hazard flasher works so put it in the dir Flasher place. see if the problem moves.... if the hazards still work and normal Turn signals still don't work then start looking at the DIR/Hazard switch as the problem.
it is Normally open but when current is Drawn thru the Resistor between X and L it bends a Bi-metal strip to close the contacts to turn the light ON ....
you can put a Jumper between X and L and when you select R or L turn the Lamps should light up but of course no flash with just a jumper... but it can be an aid to tell IF the bulbs are working.
This is where the LOAD Resistor comes into Play IF you don't draw enough current to heat that Resistor between X and L the Turn signal bulbs will not light up.
well you could hook a bulb in series with your flasher and bench test it .......
Just Ignore terminal "P" and change "B" to "X" .... if it works on the bench then you can call it good.
you can place a Jumper wire in place of the Flasher to test the Turn signal switch... IF the Signal bulbs don't light up then you might have a Dir/Haz Switch problem.
I would not just go out and buy a new Flasher of the same type ...BUT you can look into the Solid State LED flasher as you will either need that or a set of Load Resistors.
