IF you are having feed thru issues then you can install a Diode with Cathode towards the socket in the low side..... the issue is these bulbs have a circuit board in them and a chip that detects low and high signal... sometimes they can't tell the difference ... Diodes fix that most the time.

this is what I mean......

And this sometimes can fix that issue.....

no Load resistors are for preventing Hyper Flash ... and you can use a Solid State Flasher in place of the Thermal Flasher to solve that problem too.

That resistor would be like a 50 Watt 6 Ohm resistor

your problem seems to be that the LED bulbs are not even lighting up and neither Diode or Resistor will solve that issue.

Personally I would use a meter and measure the Voltage on the bulb socket contacts to verify it is correct.

you could also connect the Black wire (GROUND) from the socket with the bulb installed in the socket and apply 12V to each of the other wires and observe the action of the bulb BUT before you do that you need to verify what voltage is where on the socket pins and if it don't match what the bulb requires it could damage the bulb.... That gets expensive real fast.

I think you can in fact plug those bulbs in upside down.

Also the 4 way/ hazards work.
Backup a second here.... I want to make sure all the info here is clear.
Blinkers and tail lights do NOT work with the LEDs, is that correct?

But, the 4 way/hazard switch DOES works with the LEDs?
If that is correct, then you have a problem with the blinker and brake light circuit, but not the LED's themselves.

Not sure, but the blinkers and brakes worked with incandescent bulbs?

I'm also curious why you would purchase 3157 adapters with 3157 bulbs, instead of getting the correct style 1157 bulbs that would plug into the original sockets? LED's come in both configurations

I didn't know. I'm a teenager, I thought it would be like all the other leds I installed, plug and play. I probably caused a huge issue.

I hooked the original socket and bulb back up (the other socket I cut too much off) and it did the exact same thing.

Blinker gets power from Fuse #5 Brake switch gets power from Fuse #1

Looks like I missed that it works with the Hazards

here is the Hazard schematic for your truck...

normal mode power is on Dir FLSHR when the switch is set to hazard power comes off Fuse #1

I wondered too but when he said Aftermarket assemblies I just figured that maybe they required them.....

No, what I did was,I swapped the stock blinkers in the front for LEDs a month ago. Simple plug and play, and I figured it'd be the same for the rear. I was thinking it'd be easy, boy was so wrong.
