My 2020, as most know, doesn't have lighting for the PRNDM. I scored a console top that has the lighting, plus cupholder lighting. Got my console apart, and as expected, no harness for anything except the shifter. To get power, I'm thinking of tapping into the trailer brake controller lighting feed. Anyone think that's a bad idea? Any idea where else may be a better place?
I would tap into the wires that go to the center console light (not the cubby light). They are 12V. I don't know what voltage is required for the PRNDM light.

Thanks, that was my first thought too, then I discovered power would be on, whenever the truck was on. Got out there this afternoon and fooled around a bit, and wound up tapping into the power for the parking brake switch light, the switch backlight that is.
The lights for the PRNDM, and cupholders turn out to be fibre optic, I think it's called. An LED lights up a clear plastic thingy, and transfers the light down that plastic. Laymans way of describing, not exactly technical.
Your description was good enough that I knew what you were talking about. I'm glad you got it sorted out.
Ironically, I didn't know mine lit up for the first 2 years. It dims with the other lights and I keep them turned almost all the way down for driving at night. Anyways, one night I turned them up one night and noticed the PRNDM lit up...lol
I'd betcha there's a lot of guys just like you. I don't really "need" any of the lights on the console, I just think it's a nice touch. The cupholders might turn out to be interesting, there's 3 wires for each LED, so I'm assuming they're for the ambient color change lights, may wind up not using them at all.
Yes, the color changing LED modules have three wires (my wires are green, grey, and black).
I suspect the modules that don't change colors will only have two wires, positive and negative.
if you're not going to use the color changing leds.....maybe we can come to some mutually beneficial arrangement for me to get them from you. I can think of a couple places I'd like to tie in a couple more modules. It would probably work if I connect it to my existing wires.

Zero problem, be glad to send them to you. Let me get out there in the next couple days, and I'll pull them out.
Odd thing, likely coincidence, my cruise is somehow disabled. Can't understand why tapping into a lighting feed would cause that. Such are electronics though, they're always proving they're smarter than me.

That would be super duper awesome.
I can't think of any reason why the lighting circuit for the parking brake would effect the cruise control (but, with the way all these systems are integrated, anything is possible). To test it, you could disconnect the new wires temporarily and check if your cruise control begins operating again.
Another thought is that you may have inadvertently bumped another harness or connector that wasn't fully seated? That would be worth checking out if the cruise doesn't start working again when you disconnect the new light.
Well, it's not my power connection. I took the console apart, and got the parts you want, the harness with the two LEDs, and thought you might want the clear plastic piece that carries the light. How about the cupholders? They look like they'd fit the ones for the backseat?
If you PM me your phone number, I'll throw some photos up to make sure you want what I'm talking about.
