Dumb tip question
Been driving for 22 years and never really did anything other than swap mufflers or cut off everything behind muffler and put a turndown on. Anyway, 16 CCSB 350 w/6.2 and saw a truck with a larger exhaust tip and liked the look so bought a 3.5-5” tip for the single exit. Went to take the old one off and was surprised to find the 3.5” pipe ran most of the way through the factory tip, like 8” or so. Any reason not to cut that off, I hate the sleeved look it has if I install like the stock was. Thanks for the help
