Quick exhaust question

When I got my truck it had a 4" magnaflow exhaust system on it, with a 5" tip.

Im considering just cutting out the muffler and putting in a piece of pipe.

I like it loud and to breath as much as possible.

Any reason I shouldnt do this? Ive got to stop and get a piece of 4" od pipe for my 6637 anyways and thought about getting them to weld in a strate piece while im their.

Thanks alot-RMK

Lot of people here has that setup. No problem with doing that.

I'm considering it as well, just to see if I like it...

Thanks gentlemen.

How much louder will it be? I dont want to be really obnoxious in town, but I do spent most of my time in the country where no one but me enjoys it.

If you look inside the muffler after you take it off, you will see that there is nothing to stop the sound from goining straight through it. It may be a little louder, but not as much as you think.

I'm hoping some of that fluttering noise will be masked by the extra sound from the engine. That flutter driver me crazy!
