4.9 was not too groady, so not expecting much. I will probably keep it on there for a month of daily driving and remove it. Maybe not and leave for a while.

Expedition was filled with hard water for years as the intake manifold was leaking...common on early 2V mod motors. So, the system went to hell. Block drain was plugged with scale even! Removed heater cores from circuits (installed new), flushed like crazy and ran the filter. Swapped rad, kept filtering. That system is as good as new now.

Lobo is similar, but just back on road. Tint soon, alignment, charge AC is plan for that.

Does your 7.3 not have a coolant filter? I would not stress if not as none of the light duty trucks had from the factory. Good idea to keep the abrasive crap from eating up the water pump and potentially plugging the heaater core.

How are you liking those Yukon lockouts? When the time comes I will likely swap to the same set up. If Yukon/Randy's makes a replacement part that is always what I go with. Their support is 2nd to none. I might be a bit biased because they were a sponsor of the last Ultra 4 team I worked with and are a sponsor of the current team I started with a friend haha. But even before that just as a regular customer they always took good care of me

They're nice looking for sure. They're sort of a pain to assemble and get them to lock and unlock sometimes, needing to rock it. I also found out the hard way that you pretty much have to run standard spindle nuts so the spring fits behind them. I had sterling hub nuts up front and because they're fatter the spring sat on top and made it impossible to lock/unlock correctly due to too much tension.

If I had to do it again I'd probably get warn premiums and call it a day though.

I agree on customer service, they hooked me up when I didn't have the spacers I needed in the kit.
