C6 servo
I swear I wore the search out so don't blast me! Lol! I recently bought a 1980 Ford F250, 351M, C6 transmission. This thing has been sitting AWHILE!! I did drive it an it does shift through the gears. Ordered a black strip adjustable vacuum modulator an I'm wondering about the servo:
From what I understand, the R servo cannot go in a stock transmission because of the lever?? What servo CAN I replace mine with? H?
I honestly don't expect to run the old truck long before I tear the transmission down anyhow, but I'm thinking for the money I can change the fluid, servo, (which apparently gets as hard as a brick bat), vacuum modulator, clean the valve body, and get some use out of it before a rebuild.......any constructive input?
