I have a random door lock issue. Sometimes when I lock my doors, the driver’s side sticks. I’ll hit the remote unlock, and the lock will bind up and can’t be unlocked. It doesn't happen all the time. If I try to use my key, the cylinder is stuck and I can’t turn the key to unlock it. I then need to use the passenger door to manually open the driver door from the inside with the door handle.
I am guessing your door lock solenoid. Good clue would be can you unlock easily with the key. If not, or really stiff, solenoid is probably rusty or worn out. Easy-ish fix. If you need directions let me know.
Also could be rods binding up. But in my past experience its the solenoid
Also what year and model is helpful.
The thing is, the key won’t work either when it happens. It’s like it’s binding up. I don’t want to turn the key forcefully, since it may snap off they key head. Other times the key turns it like butter. I used some lubricant, but it didn’t seem to make a difference. It seems related to the power unlock. Maybe it is the solenoid you mentioned. If I used the key every time, I don’t think there would be any issue.

But it works later is odd. I have replaced a bunch of those solenoids. It's a bit of a pain. But seems to solve the problem. Solenoids are cheap. Replacing them is somewhat of a pain. But if you are mildly mechanically inclined, can be done in a short amount of time.
Maybe I’ll just swap it out. I’ve done it in my Fox Mustang not too long ago. The 250 is way easier to work on “door panel” wise. They are cheap and it can’t hurt to swap out an old part anyways. Thanks!!
