Reading the manual, it says the sleeve is suppose to be in the glove box. Did anyone with a 2020 receive one?

 

My truck had one. Trailer hitch sleeve was in the hitch.

 

As far as I understand it the only sleeve Ford ships is the 3 to 2.5. The 2.5 to 2 is no longer included on any trucks after 2019.

 

This is where mine was. 3" to 2.5" only.

 

Two different sleeves

One is the big sleeve that goes in the hitch to convert the 3" draw bar receiver to a 2.5" draw bar. That one comes in the hitch.

There is a second sleeve, this one is designed to allow you to use the 1/2" draw bar hitch pin with a draw bar with a 5/8" hole in it. It is in the glove box, looks like a silver tube, outside diameter is 5/8", inside diameter is 1/2", I presume it is 3" long, I haven't measured mine. It is in a small plastic bag in the glove box.

 

I had to purchase a 2.5 to 2".

 

My truck came with the sleeve, it was in the hitch.

 

If you have the 3" reciever then it should have come with the sleeve, 2.5" receiver nope. The trucks on my dealers lot usually have the sleeve and pin in the reciever.

is there "a list" of what customers are supposed to get with a new buy?

I had to ask for a set of manuals "glove box booklet"

 

My 2019 didn't come with sleeves. I purchased a set, but I am not fond of using them. Too fussy.

I will probably just step up to a larger shank with a few more inches of drop.

 

My '19 F350 DRW came from Ford with one sleeve, 3" down to 2.5".
I just purchased a Buyers Products 3" to 2" adapter and put the intermediate sleeve under the back seat.

My ‘17 came with both, my ‘20 only came with 3” to 2.5”

 

Mine did not come with the sleeve. The dealer actually looked around the office after I asked about it and gave me a used one. Dealer said they are not included anymore w the truck.

 

My 2020 did not come with a reducer sleeve, had to get my own elsewhere!
