We talked for quite a while. Seemed more than willing to help out.

You were able to source out longer window and door handle shafts. How much longer are they? With these door panels I bought. I’m definitely gonna have to come up with something. When I talk to the owner of the company, he said on the last truck that they did they didn’t use the chrome trim ring. They just pushed the handle in and they were able to get it without that chrome trimmer ring.

The stems are only 1/4" longer. I originally was going to put crank windows in the pickup but went with electric instead and had already re-stemmed the window cranks and also did the door handle regulators . I thought I'd switch over the regulators from the pickup for this one but I can't remove them without taking the windows out so ordered new ones with the longer stems..

Quarter inch might allow me to use the chrome backing plate. It would be awfully tight still.

Thickness of the plate is only 18 or 20 gauge
