elecrical short
1989 bronco 5.0 Has anybody delt with an electrical drain? Battery good, Alternator charges add the positive lead to battery over a period of 6-10 hours it will drain the battery any advice where to start? any help on wiring harness?

you need to get a test light and hook it between the positive cable and the battery post. the light should be lit if you have a drain. now you need to pull the fuses one at a time until the light goes out. when the light goes out you will know what circut is draining your battery.if the light doesnt go out then you may have a relay stuck like maybe your fuel pump. when you have the battery hooked up have you heard your fuel pump stay running? this would drain your battery in the 6 to 10 hours your talking about.
