NOS shocks

I have a set of NOS Ford shocks for both the front and rear in original packaging for an F1. Think those would still be good to run? They feel the same as the new napa ones I have just not sure if they would have deteriorated and cause handling issues?

I'd question whether the seals are still good, only way to find out is to try them. Most of the damping comes from friction in the springs anyway. If you got the NOS at a good price, might consider selling to someone going for Dearborn level?

I still have original front shocks on mine. No leaks. They feel OK on and off the truck. The rubber bushings are kind of shot. I would think NOS shocks would be good to go if not leaking like Ross said. I have been told the original shocks were designed for bias ply tires and modern shocks are for radial tires. Not sure if that's true.
