I assume something else. Probably means the smaller center hub caps for the all-aluminum Alcoa wheels. I have a set of front ones (for 4X4). The PO said the rears fell off somewhere...which I've heard is not uncommon...since they protrude beyond the tire edge and are knocked off by deep snow or whatever.
I thought they probably were not what he had in mind. I have always just called these hubcaps. Someone one time called them center caps but I didn't think that was what Ford called them. Anyway, I four of these. Sandy

They were made by Alcoa so I’m not really sure why you put the manufacturer in quotes.

You are correct. What you pictured are hub caps. Center caps only cover the center of the wheel or covers the hub that sticks out through the wheel.
