Cupholder Lights

So I have been searching this site and the internet to see if anyone has added the ambient cupholder light to the second cupholder at the rear of the main center console with trucks that have the front bucket seats? My truck has the Lariat ultimate package and also has the ambient LED lighting along with the ones in the front cup holder. I was thinking about adding them to the rear one. My thought was to just buy the front one with the lights in it and try to modify it to fit in the rear one and make a y harness to connect it to the front cupholder lights. I found some stuff on the F150 but I am not sure how close to my truck they would be. Does anyone know of someone who has done this?

When I did my console swap (F150 console), the SD's lighted cupholders would not fit. I had to remove them and swap them with the F150's. While looking at them when they were out, I don't see how it's possible to convert the rear cupholders to the same lighted ones on the front....

I popped mine out today and after looking at it I would agree with it probably won't work. I wonder if I can somehow just modify the rear ones to fit the lights in them. I need to look closer at the lights to see if I can figure out how exactly they are mounted in there. Thanks for the input.

I just did it, with a job 2 truck and oem parts...you have to do a little sanding on the bottom of the cupholder. Also I couldn’t find a factory pigtail for those leds so I had to run a jumper off my passenger side ambient led. FYI my 2019 lariat value did not not come with ambient lighting, but I added the 2017 ambient lights under both sides of the dash, under both seats, and now the cupholder.

I just added the front cupholder lights. I can grab a pic tomorrow. It just looks like oem lighting at the bottom of the cupholder. I don’t have any pics of the install.
