All of my buddies use Hella Lights. I have a pair of Go-Lights mounted on top of my Back Rack. Not particularly 'off-road' lights, but I can control them from a panel I made up in the center console. I also have a pair of regular old tractor utility lights on my rear bumper, mostly for reversing in the dark and partying down by the water. The price is tough to beat, 12.99 ea., and they throw decent light. I also know a guy who runs PIAA, and they seem to throw a sort of yellow light. I dont particularly like it, but I guess it depends on your taste
Good luck
They light up the night for me when I'm making the long trips...
Upgrading the stock headlamp bulbs and the suvlights harness and 9005's in the stock repositioned fogs didn't do it for me...
the piaa's are HARD not to turn on once you get used to them...
Try the Lightforce 240's. You will not believe the amount of light. Plus they are made of practically indestructible Lexan and you can adjust the beam.
I had the Hella Black Magic (I think they are the 9000 series) and love 'em. I had them on my 00 Expy before trading it in on the X. I will sell them to you if you want them. $50 for 2 lights, wiring harness, switch, etc...just no instructions. You can get those from Hella, I'm sure. Hella has great customer service also. I lost a little bracket piece on on of the lights. I tried talking to the store where I bought them, and they told me it would take 2 months and $20 something to replace it. I then called Hella directly and they replaced it for free in about 3 days! You can email me at deadfish88**at**hotmail**dot**com if interested.
