'08-'16 REAR bumper??
Several years ago I installed a REAR bumper from a '14 onto my L99, direct fit bolt on.
I wanted the newer style dual trailer plug so I ordered a new OEM Ford unit.
I found out that the '08 up trucks have a different shaped HITCH with threaded holes for the bracket that holds this plug.
I BOUGHT a hitch from a '15 I think it was that HAD the threaded holes but the stupid hitch was the 2.5" receiver so not wanting to fool with the adaptor sleeve each time I changed hitches OR have the sleeve WELDED in I re-sold the stupid 2.5" receiver hitch.
I have my ORIGINAL L99 single 7way round RV connector zip tied under the bumper for now and am embarrassed to tell you how long!
I have thought about cutting the plastic vertical area on the left side (NOT the area where the tag light is) and flush mounting the later model dual connector but just not sure that's what I want to do.
Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks Guys!!
