Might need to replace my fuel gage in the dash cluster, but need to remove the wiper and headlight ***** first. What cool tricks to pop those puppies off?
The headlight switch has a "button" on top of the switch that has to be depressed to pull the switch **** out.
The wiper has a notch at the base of the ****. Fabricate a little hook or use a seal pic to pull the little lock tab back towards the **** and pull the **** off.
Also i believe that little button on the top only works right when the switch is pushed all the way in first. Because of that, when you pull it out your lights will be on and you wont have a switch to turn them off until you push the rod back in, so be sure to get everything else ready first so you can remove the dash panel quickly and push the switch rod back in (it comes entirely out of the switch) to turn your lights off lol
If you need power for other electrical troubleshooting put the headlight ****/rod back in while the instrument panel is out. It's easy enough to reach back in with no instrument panel in the way and remove the headlight ****/rod again when you're ready to put it all back together That way your lights are not left on as niko20 was saying.
