Stupid Questioner
So, when I removed my cab last year I forgot to disconnect the speedo cable. Tried it out in garage and no damage. I coiled the cable with wire ties. Set donor csb today at last. I don't remember how the cable is routed from instrument panel to my t98. Through the steering column hole? Anybody without a 70 year old memory know?

There should be a nickle-sized hole on the firewall that about lines up with the speedo cable socket in the back of the instrument panel. From there, mine runs down the inner fender right next to the parking brake cable.

Yes what Byrd Dog says. My truck is a 4x4 so from the fender it actually goes to the transfer case, but it pops through the cowl inline with the speedo, trough a grommet and I forget it may be bolted to the fender well. I know the E brake cable is bolted...
