Apple carplay wirelessly
If anyone hasn’t seen this, my 2017 with a wireless charger for my iPhone this dongle connects reliably just takes a couple extra seconds. Running audio and Waze daily, it’s nice to just put the phone in the charger and go.

I’m sure this is the primary market that this “device” is aimed at so using with the factory head unit shouldn’t be a problem.

UPDATE: I tried it. It doesn’t work at all. It is supposed to connect to the trucks head unit, then you connect your phone to the dongle. The dongle will not connect to the truck. I tried to update the firmware via a thumb drive but that won’t work either. From what I can tell, it is possible to send it back (to China) and request a refund, but I’m not going to do that since shipping is another $30 or so. I’m cutting my losses here at $160. Read through some Reddit posts and other users had similar problems that were never resolved.

Weird I plugged my in and selected it’s Bluetooth name the day I got it and it auto connects ever since as soon as I start the truck.
you plugged it into the CarPlay port in the center console right?

Same CarPlay port I’ve always used. Tried the other for good measure. Screwed with it for hours.
