You won't be adjusting them anyway. Just set it to where you want and it's good. Mine have not been adjusted since k bought the truck.
I wish mine would stay in position. They both move whenever I wash the truck no matter how careful I am when washing the mirrors. Anyone know if there is a way to increase the tension on the lower convex mirrors?
After about a year there is enough dirt collection in the mirror mounting that they quit moving when the truck is washed. After about 3 years you will worry about breaking them when you try to move them. As jdnet said, they are a wide enough field that once you set them you can leave them alone.

I don't know about increasing tension, but when I wash the truck, I don't touch the mirrors with the sponge or rag. When the truck is clean and dry, I gently clean mirrors with Invisible glass and paper towel, barely touching it. Cleans really well and mirrors stay in place.
