Got the kit, no instructions. By looking at the pictures on their website, I got the front installed and I believe it’s accurate.
their instructions are for the superduty springs and I’m using the obs ones, this is relevant because now I’m at the rear shackle. Does the factory shackle get trimmed? I saw a template where they re-drill the whole an inch higher and cut off the lower section, but honestly I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do regarding the rear. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Well, I read it a little bit. From what I get out of it, you have one measurement from the factory rear hanger to the new front bar for OBS springs, and a longer measurement for the superduty springs. You just measure and position the front hanger assembly accordingly if I read it correctly.
From the reading I was doing, they were more worried about the angle of the shackle, and that it went the correct direction when the spring compressed. I guess as long as when your spring goes into droop, the shackle doesn't flip accidentally to the front.
If the suspension is hanging in the picture, that angle will get better when you put some weight on it.
I have forgotten what you originally had, but if you had the ttb springs on a straight axle, I have heard they ride very stiff. If you had lift springs under it before, I have them and I can tell you they do ride rough also. There is a bridge near me that has a bump in it, and when I hit it in my truck my rearend leaves the seat. That doesn't happen on any of my other vehicles.
